The Archives of the Scarboro Foreign Mission Society are responsible for the arrangement, description, and preservation of the documentary heritage of the Society. These records reflect the Society’s internal developments and its external engagements.<\/p>\n
Secretary General A five-part commemorative slideshow was created using archival photographs and records to mark the 100th\u00a0<\/sup>anniversary of Scarboro Missions. “Moments in History”<\/strong> provides an overview of the Society’s rich history, which begins on November 9, 1918, when Fr. John Mary Fraser founded the China Mission College in Almonte, Ontario.<\/p>\n Part 1: Beginnings and the China mission<\/a><\/p>\n Part 2: War and expansion beyond China<\/a><\/p>\n Part 3: Continued expansion, collaboration with laity, and a commitment to social justice<\/a><\/p>\n Part 4: Missions, celebrations, and a commitment to interfaith dialogue<\/a><\/p>\n
